The 2022 property tax bills (payable in 2023) will be in the mail the first week of May. Remember, you only receive ONE property tax bill for the year. Due dates for this year are June 5th, 2023 for the first installment and September 5th, 2023 for the second installment.

By Illinois law, we must go by the postmark on your envelope. When residents call to ask about the last day to pay or ask “doesn’t it just have to be postmarked by the due date?”, we remind them about how the postmark could actually fall on the next day or later because of processing centers.
Going into this tax season, please do not wait until the last day - it could save you hundreds of dollars. Better yet, save the postage and pay online or by phone by eCheck for FREE and put your mind at ease (if paying by credit or debit: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover accepted; 2.35% credit fee/ 1.5% debit fee).
