Lake County Clerk Extends Deadline to File Objections
to Wednesday, December 28
Lake County Clerk Anthony Vega announced today that the deadline to file objections to candidate filings for local school boards and the regional board of schools trustee positions has been extended to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. The extension is due to the holiday schedule where the County Clerk’s Office is closed on Friday, December 23, and Monday, December 26. Statute requires the objection period to be open for five (5) business days after candidate filing period closes.
