ARPA Virtual Community Input Nights
Lake County wants your input on community needs as we consider how to best utilize a portion of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds allocated for our communities.
To learn what this means for you, Lake County is hosting a virtual event, Tuesday, July 19 via Zoom, at 6 p.m. Residents are encouraged to register to attend to learn more, share information, and provide their input. Register to attend online here.
Your feedback will help Lake County better understand community needs to aid in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. ARPA allocations must be within the following funding categories: public health, community and household assistance, economy and business, and infrastructure and facilities.
The final community input night will be held in person on August 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Round Lake Beach Civic Center, 2007 Civic Center Way. This event is open to the public. No registration is required.
To date, Lake County has already committed $71 million in ARPA funding. The County continues to appropriate ARPA funds to meet immediate response needs, such as food distribution and housing programs needed in response to COVID-19. All ARPA money must be allocated by the end of 2024 and spent by the end of the 2026. Learn more at LakeCountyIL.Gov/ARPA.
