Late penalty increases to 4.5% on 8/8

If you missed your first installment payment, you have until Monday, August 8th to pay before the penalty increases to 4.5%. 

Make a payment in person at the office, send a check postmarked by the due date, or pay by eCheck (no fee) online or over the phone.


ACH withdrawal changes due by 8/25

ACH withdrawal users: August 25th is the last day to submit any changes or cancel before the second installment is withdrawn on the due date. Click here for the form. 


2nd installment reminder

September 6th is the due date for the 2nd installment of property taxes.

On July 10, 2022, the US Postal Service increased the price of sending mail. Use our $0 eCheck feature and save yourself a stamp! Pay online or by phone.

Mobile home tax bills

 If you're a mobile home owner, tax bills were mailed out July 15th. The due date for mobile taxes is September 12th

Illinois sales tax holiday

The Illinois Department of Revenue recently announced a Sales Tax Holiday for qualifying items from August 5, 2022 until August 14, 2022. The state sales tax holiday is a ten-day period during which consumers can purchase certain clothing and school-related items and pay sales tax at a reduced rate. Click here for more information.

United Way of Lake County’s 211 is Lake County’s one-stop shop for help. 211 is a free, confidential, 24-hour information and referral helpline for essential health and human services in our community. 211 is open to everyone in Lake County and connects people to available resources by phone, text and online, including food, rent and utility assistance, mental health services, health care and many other resources.

To access 211, simply call 211 or text your zip code to 898211. Resource navigators at the 211 contact center are trained, experienced specialists who understand you and your local community.
