Libertyville, IL - The Canadian National Railway has notified the Lake County Division of Transportation that it will be closing Winchester Road at the Canadian National Railroad crossing west of US Route 45 for repairs. The closure will begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, June 13 and is scheduled to reopen Tuesday, June 21 in the late afternoon. The closure is necessary to improve ride quality at the existing railroad crossing.
Local traffic will be allowed from Midlothian Road to the Canadian National railroad crossing. The railroad crossing will be closed to all traffic.
Detour Route: Midlothian Road to Peterson Road to US Route 45.
