Barrington, IL - The Lake County Division of Transportation will be closing Hart Road to through traffic from US Route 14 (Northwest Highway) to Main St/County Line Road (Lake Cook Road) beginning Thursday, June 2 at 6 a.m. for 155 calendar days.
The closure is necessary to remove the existing culvert pipes, construct a new bridge over Flint Creek, add a bike path on the east side of the bridge, and resurface Hart Road from south of US Route 14 to Main St/County Line Road.
Detour route: US Route 14 (Northwest Highway) to IL Route 59 (Hough Street) to Main St. Local traffic will be allowed from Main St/County Line Road north to Barrington High School and from US Route 14 (Northwest Highway) south to the local businesses and sports complex. The road will be closed to all through traffic at Flint Creek.
