Deerpath Road & Skokie Valley Bike Path Closure in Lake Forest

Lake Forest, IL - ComEd is replacing the bridge over Deerpath Road that runs parallel to US 41 to increase its capacity to support maintenance vehicles and equipment. Demolition and removal of the bridge requires a complete closure of Deerpath Road.

During construction, pedestrian and bicycle traffic on the Skokie Valley Bike Path will be rerouted from the path to Laurel Avenue or Westleigh Road. Construction is anticipated to be completed by late summer/early fall 2022. View bike path detour route. 

Deerpath Road will be closed from Ahwahnee Lane to US 41 from Friday, March 18 at 6 p.m. through Sunday, March 27 while the existing structure is removed.
