The 2021 property tax bills (payable in 2022) will be mailed out the first week of May. Due dates for this year are June 6th, 2022 and September 6th, 2022.

By Illinois law, we must go by the postmark on your envelope. When residents call to ask about the last day to pay or ask “doesn’t it just have to be postmarked by the due date?”, we remind them about how the postmark could actually fall on the next day or later because of processing centers.
Going into this tax season, please do not wait until the last day - it could save you hundreds of dollars. Better yet, save the postage and pay online or by phone with $0 eCheck and put your mind at ease. When you pay online, the receipt is e-mailed to you after checkout. When you pay by phone, there is a confirmation number given after checkout. Make sure you receive confirmation of payment.
