Summer Youth Employment Program 2022

We are accepting applications to the Lake County Summer Youth Employment Program!
This popular program, funded by the Lake County Board, will provide meaningful work experiences in either onsite or virtual environments for approximately 250 young people this summer. |
Applications for the summer program will be available from March 1 to April 15 on the Job Center website at www.lakecountyjobcenter.com
To qualify for employment, youth must be:
- Age 14 to 18 (by April 15) OR age 14 to 22 with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- Attending middle school or high school
- Receiving free or reduced-price lunch OR meet low-income guidelines
A lottery system is used to select candidates to move forward in the application process. Check the Job Center website after May 2 for application status. We will contact selected youth to complete the intake process.
Work opportunities for participants will begin June 20, 2022. The program lasts approximately 6 weeks.
