Step One:

Open an internet browser and navigate to the Lake County, Illinois Maps Online Database using the following web address https://maps.lakecountyil.gov/mapsonline/ or by clicking here.

Click OK on the informational pop up box which displays when the Online Database first loads.

Enter your complete home address in the online maps database search bar.

If you receive multiple search results, select the one which is most accurate. Generally, when presented with results under both the header of Lake County Composite Locator and Esri World Geocoder it is best to select the appropriate option under the Lake County Composite Locator as this information is maintained by our Lake County GIS Maps Division. If only one option is present much like our example, click select the address with a mouse click or by clicking enter.

Step 3

Step Four:

Using the plus button and by clicking and dragging the map while holding a click you can reposition the map and zoom in on your address. The parcel will be designated with a black dot.

Step 4

Step Five:

At the top right of the screen, click the “Layer List” button (third button on the top right).

Step 5

This will bring up a list with additional layers to overlay on top of the map. Select the button for “Political Boundaries”. You can then select “County Board Districts 2022” and “Precincts 2022” to see the new County Board and Precinct districts for the address.

In this example the Lake County Government Services Building, Home to the County Clerk's Office is in County Board District 9 and Precinct 381.
