About the Project
LCDOT is studying potential improvements to approximately 1.5 miles of Arlington Heights Road in the villages of Buffalo Grove, Long Grove, and Arlington Heights. The pavement is at the end of its service life and needs to be replaced.
While there are no plans to widen Arlington Heights Road as part of this project, this is an opportunity for LCDOT to make safety and operational improvements to the corridor, such as adding turn lanes or closing sidewalk gaps. The project is still in its preliminary phase, with construction currently scheduled for 2024.
