Lake Villa, IL – The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) will be closing the intersection of Fairfield Road and Monaville Road beginning Monday, August 30 at 6 a.m. The closure will last approximately 90 days. The closure is necessary to allow the contractor to construct a roundabout to replace the existing multi-way stop intersection. Detour Route: Cedar Lake Road, to IL 132/Grand Ave, to IL 59 to Wilson Road to Rollins Road.
Local traffic will have access to residences and businesses from all directions within the closure area.
Also as part of the project, Old Monaville Road will be disconnected from Monaville Road permanently starting August 30. Local access will continue from Fairfield Road to Old Monaville Road.
