Virtual Public Meeting: Open Burning in Unincorporated Lake County
The public is invited to attend a joint Lake County Board committee meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 4 scheduled to discuss open burning regulatory options and consolidated waste hauling services for unincorporated Lake County.
The discussion is between the Lake County Public Works, Planning and Transportation (PWPT) Committee and Energy and Environment (E&E) Committee. The PWPT Committee meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. The discussion on open burning will begin at 9:30 a.m. or shortly thereafter.

The public meeting will be conducted by video/audio conference on Zoom. Lake County staff will provide a presentation to then be followed by committee discussion and public comment. Registration to attend the virtual meeting is required.
To make it easier for the public to provide comments, members of the public are able to register to attend the meeting and offer "live" public comments during the Zoom meeting from the comfort of their own home.
The virtual public meeting will be accessible to individuals with lack of internet access. The public may also view the live virtual meeting on Aug. 4 at the 10th Floor of the County Administrative Tower, 18 N. County St., Waukegan.
