Virtual Informational Meeting: Open Burning and Landscape Waste Disposal Options in Unincorporated Lake County
Register for the July 13 meeting at: https://bit.ly/2USolxY
Over the past two years, the Lake County Board's Energy and Environment Committee has discussed alternatives to the open burning of landscape waste in the unincorporated areas to protect the health, safety, and welfare of residents.
With the help of input from more than 1,000 residents who submitted their thoughts on the issue through our interactive website, Lake County has made progress on exploring these options and identifying viable alternative landscape disposal options for unincorporated residents.
We invite the public to join us at a virtual informational meeting on Tuesday, July 13 at 5 p.m. for an update on open burning in the unincorporated areas, the work Lake County is doing to evaluate viable landscape disposal options, and potential next steps. We also will answer residents' frequently asked questions from the County's public survey found on our interactive website.
Date: Tuesday, July 13, 2021
Time: 5 p.m.
This virtual meeting will be hosted through Zoom. Attendees can view and listen to the meeting through their computer, tablet, or phone. Information on how to access the meeting is sent to your email address provided upon registration.
If you would like to attend this virtual event, be sure to register. Lake County is still in the initial phases of considering reasonable permanent restrictions on open burning and consolidated waste hauling services in the unincorporated areas, and no final plans are being determined at this time.
