Gurnee, IL - The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) will be closing Gages Lake Road to through traffic from Hunt Club Road to IL 21. The closure will begin at 6 a.m. Monday, June 14 and is scheduled to reopen by the late afternoon on Friday, June 18.
The closure is necessary for the scheduled replacement of three culverts. The exact duration for each culvert closure is uncertain, however, the first closure will be reopened to local traffic before the second location is closed. Message boards will be used to inform local residents of which closure is in place.
First road closure for two culverts: Local traffic will have access from Hunt Club Road east to Leonard Drive and from IL 21 west to Colby Road. The construction zone will be closed to all traffic.
Second road closure at culvert: Local traffic will have access from Hunt Club Road east to Colby Road and from IL 21 west to Hickory Haven Drive. The construction zone will be closed to all traffic.
DETOUR ROUTE: Hunt Club Road to IL 120 to IL 21
One additional culvert on Gages Lake Road will be replaced west of Hunt Club Road without the need for a full closure. This will require lane closures at times during the day.
