Paving on Main St. is complete! Crews are currently paving the second layer of asphalt with bike-friendly shoulders on Grass Lake Road. The contractor will apply longitudinal joint sealant on Grass Lake Road this week, weather dependent. Longitudinal joint sealant is commonly used in resurfacing projects to protect the pavement, and it appears as shiny bands. Once the sealant is applied, the final surface will be paved on Grass Lake Road.
Traffic Impacts: Work zone speed limits are in effect. Watch for workers, flaggers and trucks coming in and out of the job site.

About the Project
Description: Construction is underway to resurface Millburn Road and Grass Lake Road as a follow up to the Millburn Bypass project that was completed in 2019.
In 2020, the Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) will resurface Millburn Road (Main St. to Hunt Club) and install sidewalk on the north side of Grass Lake Road starting east of Deep Lake Road. In 2021, LCDOT will resurface Main St. and Grass Lake Road (Deep Lake to the west of the new US 45), and will complete any remaining landscaping and punch list items for the entire project.
