Fiscally Fit in 2021

treasures

The Fiscally Fit program for 2021 is underway. We hope everyone is gaining knowledge and understanding of how to protect yourself and your money. Please join us on March 17th for a class on "Unclaimed Property" at 11:00am along with our scheduled class on "Increasing Endurance: borrowing basics" on April 12th. Visit our website for more information.

Check your Exemptions

exemptions on the bill

With the 2020 real estate tax bills being mailed in May, checking your exemption status can save you money. In the lower right corner of your tax bill (see picture) you can see what exemptions you currently have and do not have. If you feel that you are eligible for any other exemptions listed, please visit the Lake County Assessor webpage for more information.

Need to update or change your address?

Your property tax bill and assessment letter are sent to the mailing address on record. If you have moved, changed your mailing address or your property is now a rental, please visit our website to download and complete a name and address change form.

Questions?

If you have a question regarding your real estate taxes or need further assistance, don't forget, you can submit a help ticket 24 hours a day.

In the community

outreach

During the pandemic, Lake Villa resident Joe Prindle saw the need for helping homeless veterans in the cold. He personally went around to collect gloves and toiletries to give to the VA Homeless Veterans Outreach.

Participating in the Libertyville Township food pantry Martin Luther King Jr., day of service, Treasurer Kim donated paper products.

If you're helping fellow Lake County residents during this difficult time, and would like to invite us, send an email with the information to Treasurer@lakecountyil.gov.
