WAUKEGAN, Illinois – In honor of our veteran election judges and clerk’s office staff the Lake County Clerk’s Office with the exception of our Tax Department, will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday November 11, 2020 in observance of Veterans Day. The office will reopen on Thursday November 12, 2020 at 9 AM and observe normal business hours.
Election results have been updated to reflect the most recent count as of 3:00 PM today. 33, 481 Vote By Mail Ballots received on or before election day have been added to the count leaving less than 9,000 ballots received on or before November 3 to be cast. We are confident the remaining ballots will be tabulated and posted on Thursday afternoon at 3 PM. Valid provisional ballots, late arriving vote by mail ballots postmarked by November 3 and received by November 17, as well as any ballots currently challenged and cured by November 17 will be added to the final update which will take place at the end of day on November 17 as per state statute.
