Lake County Liquor Commission Approves Temporary Outdoor Liquor Sales
In partnership with Sheriff Idleburg and per state direction, the Lake County Liquor Commission has approved Class A and E bar and restaurant license-holders in Lake County unincorporated areas to temporarily serve patrons outside, on premises, while adhering to State guidelines.
All other liquor licensing parameters remain in full effect. This applies only to bars and restaurants with liquor licenses granted in Lake County by the Lake County Liquor Commission. Bars and restaurants located within municipal boundaries should check with their municipality on restrictions.
"I am pleased to work with Sheriff Idleburg to give our local restaurants and bars the ability to serve their customers outside," said Lake County Liquor Control Commissioner Sandy Hart. "We will continue to advocate for our small businesses as they recover from this pandemic."
Businesses who are planning to service outside on premises, who were not previously authorized to do so, should send a photo of the proposed set up to the Lake County Liquor Commission:
Mail: Lake County Liquor Commission, 18 N. County St, 10th Floor, Waukegan, IL 60187
Serving areas will be subject to inspection and all regulations of State and Local Government. Businesses that violate liquor licensing parameters will be subject to the same penalties up to and including a loss of your license.
