“Starting June 1st, for the safety of the public and our staff and to ensure full access to justice, all court calls will be conducted over ZOOM. There is no reason to come to the Courthouse, whether you are expected to appear in Family, Civil, Criminal or Orders of Protections, remote hearings are available,” said Chief Judge Diane E. Winter.

On an tablet, smart phone, desktop, or laptop, download the free ZOOM application, and then visit the 19th Judicial Circuit’s webpage. Click on the Remote Court Hearings (ZOOM) tab, find the correct courtroom, and then click on the courtroom schedule you are to appear in. Next find the ZOOM session related to the day and time of your case and click Join Now. After entering the ZOOM Meeting ID and Password, you will be placed into the ZOOM waiting room. The Judge will let you into the virtual courtroom when your case is ready to be called.

If you do not have access to a phone or the internet, ZOOM stations have been set up in the William D. Block Law Library in the Courthouse at 18 N. County Street in Waukegan for you to use and to join your remote hearing.
