Boil Order Lifted for North Libertyville Estates Neighborhood

The boil order issued on March 10, 2020 for the North Libertyville Estates neighborhood has been lifted. Customers in this neighborhood may return to normal use of their water service.

The boil order was issued after a water main break occurred on the primary feed line in the North Libertyville Estates area on March 10. Customers may have had reduced water pressure or no water running through their home.

As a precaution, a boil order notice was issued, and bacteriological samples were collected to verify the quality of the drinking water supply. Water samples tested by a certified laboratory have confirmed that the water is free of coliform bacteria.

The Lake County Public Works Department thanks everyone for their patience while crews fixed the water main and as the laboratory conducted testing.  Those with any questions or concerns may call Lake County Public Works at 847-377-7500 or send an email to publicworks@lakecountyil.gov.
