The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) is reconstructing Weiland Road in Buffalo Grove. Construction on the north section of the project, Weiland Road from Deerfield Pkwy to Aptakisic Road, and Aptakisic Road from Joseph Ct to Bond St, is expected to begin this year. Please join us at an Open House to learn about the construction schedule and detour plans associated with the north section of the project.

The public information meeting will be conducted in an open house format, so the public may attend at any time between 5 - 7 p.m. Exhibits will be on display and project team members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.

Description
Construction on the Weiland Road Project is occuring in two different sections. The south section, Weiland Road from Deerfield Pkwy to Woodstone Dr, began in 2019. The north section, Weiland Road from Deerfield Pkwy to Aptakisic Road and Aptakisic Road from Joseph Ct to Bond St, will begin in 2020.
The Weiland Road Improvements Project will increase highway user safety, improve capacity and operation, replace aging infrastructure, and enhance the regional roadway network. Because of high traffic volumes, the reconstruction of Weiland Road will include the widening of the roadway to two lanes in each direction with a center turn lane. Street lights will be installed to increase visibility. In addition, a bike path will be built on the west side and a sidewalk on the east side.
