POSTPONED: Hutchins Road Closure for Bridge and Road Construction

Due to the recent snowfall, the detour that was originally scheduled to begin on Friday, Feb. 14, has been postponed until Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 3 p.m.

Original News Release from February 3:

Gurnee, IL - The Lake County Division of Transportation will be closing Hutchins Road for 120 calendar days to through traffic from Illinois Route 132 to Stearns School Road beginning Friday, Feb. 14 at 3 p.m. The closure is necessary to remove the existing culvert pipes and for construction of a new bridge over Mill Creek.

Detour route: Illinois Route 132 to US Route 45 to Stearns School Road. Local traffic will be allowed from Illinois Route 132 north to Edgewood Drive and from Stearns School Road south to Grandwood Drive. The road will be closed to all through traffic at Mill Creek.
