The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) is hosting a public information meeting to discuss the upcoming Hunt Club Road and Washington Street Intersection Improvement Project.
The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the project and inform stakeholders on the planning process and schedule. Meeting attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback about existing conditions and concerns in the area and ask questions.
The meeting will be conducted in an open house format, so the public may attend any time between 5 and 7 p.m. Exhibits will be on display and project team members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.

Materials from this meeting will be available on the project website within a few days after the meeting. This meeting will be accessible to individuals with disabilities. LCDOT encourages the public to provide feedback on the project. Written comments and questions can be submitted during the meeting. Those unable to attend will be able to submit comments online. An online feedback form will be posted on the project website after the meeting.
About the Project
LCDOT is conducting a Phase 1 study to improve the safety and traffic flow at the intersection of Hunt Club Road and Washington Street in Gurnee. Under consideration is the addition of dual-left turn lanes and right turn lanes at the intersection, along with two key regional non-motorized travel connections.
