Domestic violence awareness program scheduled
(Lake County, IL) The Faith Committee of Lake County’s Domestic Violence Council is hosting a domestic violence awareness program on Monday, October 21, from 1:30p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Ray Bradbury room of the Waukegan Public Library. The library is located at 128 North County Street in Waukegan. Rocio Garcia, Education & Outreach Coordinator with A Safe Place, will share signs and symptoms of domestic violence, as well as how to help friends and loved ones involved in domestic violence situations. Information regarding how institutions of faith can be of help in domestic violence situations will be shared. This event is free and all are welcome. For more information, please call 847-377-3184.
