Lake County, IL- The Lake County Treasurer’s Office, First Midwest Bank and Restoration America have partnered to offer the residents of Lake County free Financial Literacy courses. The goal behind teaching financial literacy is to help people develop a stronger understanding of basic financial concepts to better handle their money.
Treasurer Kim believes it’s important to empower residents and equip them with the tools to make smarter financial decisions. “One of my goals was to raise awareness about the importance of financial education such as, knowing how to make a budget and living within your means. We appreciate this partnership with First Midwest and Restoration America and look forward to offering this to our residents for years to come."
Catherine Itter, Assistant Vice President-Branch Manager of Grayslake said “We are proud to partner with the Lake County Treasurer’s Office to provide a series of workshops that will educate residents on how they can improve their financial literacy and build a solid financial foundation."

- Thursday August 1st, 5pm-7pm - Keep it Safe
- Saturday October 5th, 10am-12pm - Securing Your Identity
- Thursday November 7th, 5pm-7pm - Financial Recovery
