Construction Update: Wilson Rd & Nippersink Rd Intersection May 2, 2019

Newly Stained North Wall

The contractor has completed the excavation and seeding of the wetland area extension in the southeast corner. Trees will be planted in this area as part of the project. The staining/painting of the north Wilson Rd wall is finishing up, and the staining/painting the south Wilson Rd wall has begun. Final touch-up and a sealant coat on the north wall will be applied as weather allows. Once complete, the contractor will grade behind the north wall and landscape the area. Following that work, the contractor will begin to final grade the already placed aggregate base for the new roadway. This will prepare for the installation of the new curb & gutter.

Coming weeks:  The contractor will put final coats on the north Wilson Rd wall, backfill and landscape. The aggregate base will be final graded and curb & gutter will be installed. Once the curb is backfilled, paving work will begin.

Traffic impacts: Watch for workers. Watch for trucks coming in and out of the closed lanes. Expect delays.
