Are you ready for the November 6th Election?

Wyckoff

WAUKEGAN, Illinois – If you want to vote in the November 6th election, be sure to confirm your voter registration record is up-to-date and shows your current name and physical street address.  The best way to do this is to check the Lake County Clerk’s office (LCCO) records.  You can do this by logging on to LakeVoterPower.info or by calling the Clerk’s Voter Services Department at 847.377.2410.

Some voters have visited the Illinois State Board of Elections (SBOE) website and were unable to confirm their registration.  There are a variety of reasons for inconclusive responses. Clerk Wyckoff’s office is the official record keeper for new and updated Lake County voter registration records and uploads this information daily to the SBOE database.  The LCCO records are the authoritative records, and voters are encouraged to first check their registration status with the LCCO.

If you need to update your record or register for the first time, voter registration is open now and is conveniently available online, in-person at many locations around the county, or by mail.

Online voter registration is offered through the Illinois State Board of Elections’ website (https://ova.elections.il.gov) until October 21. Voter must have Illinois driver’s license or state identification card.

In-person registration with a deputy registrar is available until October 9 at most municipal, township, and library facilities.

A printable mail-in registration form is available online at the Clerk’s website. The completed form must be postmarked or delivered to the County Clerk’s office by close of business on October 9. The mail-in form must be accompanied with the applicant’s valid State of Illinois driver’s license number, state ID number, or the last four digits of the Social Security number.

Each applicant must be a United States citizen, 18 years of age by Election Day, and meet a 30-day Lake County residency requirement. Two forms of valid identification must be presented at the time of registration.
