Patriot Path - IL Rte 137 Bike Path Project, Public Hearing Oct. 3

The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) invites you to attend the third and final Public Hearing for the study of an east/west bike path, the Patriot Path, along the IL Route 137 corridor.  The limits of the project are between the Des Plaines River Trail (Independence Grove Forest Preserve) and the Robert McClory Bike Path (Sheridan Road). The proposed Patriot Path would connect Libertyville, Green Oaks, Waukegan and North Chicago and provide a non-motorized alternative transportation option.

The purpose of this third and final Public Hearing is to present the preferred alignment, provide a summary of the Phase I activities, identify potential areas of right-of-way needs, and provide the project schedule. Meeting attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and provide input.

Date:     Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018

Time:     5 - 7 p.m. (Open House Format)

Location: Independence Grove Forest Preserve, 16400 W. Buckley Road, Libertyville

The meeting will be conducted in an informal, open house format. Attendees are free to attend at any time between 5 - 7 p.m.  Representatives from the LCDOT and the consultant engineering team will be present to discuss the project and answer questions.

The meeting will be accessible to persons with a disability. Anyone in need of special assistance and planning to attend should contact Chuck Gleason (Project Manager) via phone at 847-377-7447 or via e-mail at cgleason@lakecountyil.gov by Sept. 26, 2018.
