Second Installment Due Date is Approaching.

The second installment due date of Lake County property taxes is fast approaching!  The second installment is due Thursday, Sept. 6th.  We offer many convenient ways to pay.  Would you like to pay at a bank near you?  View a list of banks you can pay at in your area.

Have you misplaced your second installment coupon?  You can print a copy from the Treasurer's Office website by entering your PIN # or address.

Keep in mind, if you are mailing your payment, be sure to have it U.S. Postmarked on or before September 6th to avoid late penalties.  If you would like to participate in the Auto Withdrawal Program, the deadline to sign up is Aug. 23rd.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our office at (847) 377-2323, email us at treasurer@lakecountyil.gov, or visit our website at www.lakecountyil.gov/treasurer.

Late Payments

The Lake County Treasurer's Office is required by State Law to collect a 1.5 percent penalty per month on any unpaid installment balance after the due dates.  This year, the penalty is calculated on the 7th of each month and is not prorated by state law.  Visit our Late Payment web page for more information.
