Stand Tall for Patriotism

Independence Day

Brass bands loudly playing Sousa marches and high-flying American flags are stirring symbols of our hard-earned independence. Thinking patriotically is a good beginning for keeping our freedom gears turning, but actions are more powerful than thoughts.

For this July 4th holiday – STAND TALL WITH A PATRIOTIC PURPOSE and apply to be part of our team who will work in Lake County’s voting sites for the November election.

There are endless reasons why it is important to be engaged in the election process – you are actively supporting democracy right in your own neighborhood, succeeding as a first-class role model to those around you, and ensuring that the election is fair and accessible.

Applications are available in person from our office located at 18 N. County Street in Waukegan, online at electionjudge.info, or by calling 847.377.2408.

Our freedom is valuable, and it is up to each of us to do our part in protecting it. Working in a Lake County voting site is an easy place to start.

Let’s rally together to do the finest for our county.

Why Be an Election Judge?

Be inspired by some of our most experienced judges and the reasons they keep returning to work the elections.

Ordering Vital Records

If you need a certified or genealogical birth, marriage, civil union, or death record and are qualified to receive the document always order directly from the clerk’s office in the county where the event took place. Be cautious of third-party online services that offer to process your vital record application and possibly charge ten times more than if you ordered directly from the county clerk.

Investigate website vendors before using them and carefully read the supplier’s terms of service. Some applications require sensitive or personal information, including a Social Security Number. The service may keep a copy of your requested record for themselves or not issue a refund if the order cannot be processed because access to the record is restricted.

If you are entitled to receive a Lake County record, there are several convenient ways to order:

  • Walk-in same-day service during weekday business hours at our Waukegan office,
  • By mail,
  • Online with credit card payment, or
  • By fax or email.

Ordering instructions, prices, and fillable forms are available on our website:

Protect your wallet and identity by ordering from the appropriate county clerk or your Lake County records directly from us.

Visit us at the Lake County Fair, July 25 to 29

The fun begins on Wednesday, July 25 in Grayslake. Come out to meet your friends and neighbors while enjoying innovative food on a stick, deep-fried everything, and the ever-traditional corn dog. Stop at our booth in the Expo Hall to take your souvenir photo or inquire about our services.
