Distracted Driving Campaign Continues Through April 30

DD Campaign

Distracted driving includes texting while driving, operating a hand-held cell phone, shaving, putting on make-up and taking your eyes off the road while driving. It's becoming a serious problem. In response, the Sheriff's Office is teaming up with the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police (ILACP) and local law enforcement agencies to raise awareness and increase enforcement of distracted driving laws.

During this traffic safety campaign, our deputies are focused on watching for distracted drivers. Join us in spreading the word about the traffic safety campaign and the dangers of distracted driving.

Stay safe and see you soon.

Sincerely,

Sheriff Mark C. Curran, Jr.
