Libertyville, IL - The Canadian National Railway and the Lake
County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) will be closing Winchester Road at
the Canadian National Railroad crossing west of U.S. Route 45. The closure will
begin at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25th and is scheduled to
reopen Tuesday, October 31st in the late afternoon. The closure is
necessary to improve ride quality at the existing railroad crossing. This
project will include replacing the crossing surface, asphalt and concrete
milling, repaving and striping.
Local traffic will be allowed from Midlothian Road to the
Canadian National railroad crossing. The railroad crossing will be closed to
all traffic.
