Hello Neighbors
With all the tragedy in the world recently, I find it difficult to start telling you about all the good in Lake County. Our family has friends and family in the places that are suffering natural and manmade disasters. We offer our thoughts and prayers for the tens of thousands of individuals impacted recently. I am grateful for each new day and the blessings of life here in our communities.
This newsletter includes valuable, important information: alerts about protecting you and your home from scams and flooding. Transportation is a major issue in Lake County. You'll find articles regarding roads, public transit and bike/hike paths and trails (some 500 miles!). Please take a few minutes to watch the video about commuting by bicycle. It's full of practical tips from a veteran commuter.
Fall is my favorite time of the year. The Forest Preserve news points to outdoor activitiies while the community links reference seasonal events - and information to help you dispose of Autumn yard debris.
Thanks to the County staff and other elected officials for providing news, tips and recommendations for me to share with you.
Please email or call me with your comments, suggestions
and questions. Please forward this to friends who can benefit from this twice-monthly newsletter. They can subscribe via the link at the top of this page.
Regards,

threatening, but the true purpose of the mailing is to get you to spend your
money with a fake company. Watch this video to
learn how to protect yourself. If you have any questions or need a copy of your
deed, contact the Lake County Recorder of Deeds Office at 847-377-2575.
