Mettawa, IL – The Lake County Division of
Transportation (LCDOT) will need to temporarily close St. Mary’s Road, between
IL 60 and Everett Road, for a culvert repair. The one-day closure will take
place on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017.
There is a partial culvert failure at this location due to
the heavy rains and flooding that hit Lake County in July. This culvert is scheduled
to be relocated and replaced next year as part of a larger project to resurface
St. Mary’s Road, so this repair will keep the culvert operating as it should
until a full replacement can be made next year.
Detour Route: IL 60 to Riverwoods Road to Everett Road
