Southern Baptist Disaster Relief (Event on July 29)
Illinois Southern Baptist Disaster Relief (ISBDR) is operating in Lake County to help people recover from the recent flooding. ISBDR will be distributing five-gallon buckets filled with cleaning supplies and safety equipment for free at Wildwood Presbyterian Church in Grayslake and Transformation Church in Lake Villa on July 29 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

ISBDR will also provide up to two gallons of premixed Shockwave for each family at the event. ShockWave is a hospital grade EPA registered disinfectant, sanitizer, fungicide, virucide, bactericide, and cleaner for use on porous and non-porous surfaces. To receive the shockwave, residents will need to bring a sealable container or clean garden sprayer.

ISBDR also has work teams available to provide hands on help with flood recovery.  Once a person fills out a request for assistance, their teams will assess your home and will remove contaminated materials and drywall and sanitize the structure.  The assistance requests forms can be filled out at the two locations on Saturday mentioned above, or you can contact their Incident Command Center at 1-217-622-5101.  Renters need to have both themselves and their landlord sign assistance request forms.

Illinois REALTORS® Relief Foundation (IRRF)
The IRRF is accepting applications from northern Illinois property owners in Cook, Kane, Lake, and McHenry Counties who have been impacted by the recent flooding.

Anyone who is a full-time Illinois resident, a U.S. citizen, and meets the criteria of the program is eligible to obtain funds.  Relief assistance can be used for the applicant’s home-related items (e.g. mortgage assistance, rental cost of temporary shelter, unreimbursed losses), and is limited to $500 per application.

For more information and to apply for assistance, property owners should download this application.
