"A mother is like a flower; each one beautiful and unique." Happy Mother's Day!
I am very excited that Spring is here! My wife Becki and I love all of the great spring activities throughout District 3.
We have many new elected official being swore in over the past few weeks and even a new Mayor in Lake Villa, James McDonald. Mayor Loffredo decided after 24 years of service to retire. What an amazing commitment by "Mayor Frank" to serve his community. Mayor McDonald has big shoes to fill!
Every year my wife and I stop and buy onions from the Shriners in Lindenhurst. I had to laugh when they said to keep a lookout at parades for the new All Terrain Coolers they would be riding.... ha ha.

I am honored being a voice of reason for fiscal responsibility while representing our district on the Lake County Board and as a Forest Preserves Commissioner.
I am looking forward to a great year here in Lake County!
Respectfully,

It’s the time of year to take precautions against
ticks, which can be most active during the warmer weather and can carry
diseases such as Lyme disease. Once considered a rare illness in Lake
County, Lyme disease is becoming more common in the area. The Lake
County Health Department and Community Health Center provides tips to help
protect yourself from exposure to ticks:
- Clear leaf litter under trees, and keep the ground clean
under bird feeders
- Keep grass near playground equipment short.
- Install a wood chip or gravel barrier between lawns and
wooded and tall grass areas.
- Minimize wood piles as these are attractive to small mammals
such as mice, which can carry ticks.
How to remove a tick Whether it’s rubbing alcohol, nail polish, or a burnt
match, there’s a lot of misguided folklore when it comes to how to remove a
tick. Watch
this video as Lake County Health Department Senior Biologist
Mike Adam explains the proper techniques to remove a tick.
