City
of Waukegan and Waukegan Township residents will nominate their city mayor,
city clerk, and township highway supervisor candidates in the Feb. 28 primary election.
Eligible
registered voters may log onto LakeVoterPower.info and click
on the “What is on my Ballot -- February Election" tab to preview a
personalized ballot for the Feb. 28 primary.
In-person grace voter registration
is available at the two early voting
sites. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, residents of their precinct for 30
days before Election Day, 18 years old on or before the general election,
provide two forms of valid identification, and vote at the time of
registration.
Early voting is available weekday, evenings, and weekends
until Feb. 27. You can use any either voting
site, regardless of where you live. Review specific
early voting locations, hours, and dates.
Assigned Election Day voting sites
will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb.
28. Log on to find your assigned

The Nicasa Bridge House in Waukegan is a
community-based residence for men and women recovering from dependence on drugs
or alcohol. Recently, the facility underwent renovations to make it ADA

A Paratransit Market Study is now
underway in Lake County to evaluate transportation options for seniors, people
with disabilities, and the general public. We are looking for people to participate
in an upcoming focus group or provide feedback online.

The Illinois Department of Transportation wants
your input in developing its Long Range Transportation Plan. This plan will
identify policies to provide Illinois residents and businesses with innovative,
sustainable and multimodal transportation solutions that support local goals

Since
2011, the Live Well Lake County (LWLC) steering committee, made up of
representatives from community-based organizations, government agencies, health
care systems, and academic institutions, has been working collaboratively to improve
the health and well-being of county residents. Six teams, working in unison
with the Lake County Health Department, are addressing identified community
health issues such as keeping active by walking, healthy eating, diabetes
prevention and management, tobacco prevention and cessation, health literacy

Join Young People's Concert Feb. 25
The Waukegan Symphony Orchestra will hold its Young People’s
Concert at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at Waukegan High School, 2325 Brookside Ave. This
