I want to welcome our New Lake County Board Member-Elect Paul Frank and congratulate him on his victory.

While many of you know Paul Frank as your City Councilman of Highland Park, I just wanted to mention a few things about him. Paul will be sworn in on December 5th at the Special Lake County Board meeting and will also be your Lake County Forest Preserve Commissioner.
I met Paul as a community activist being concerned about Park District issues over 6 years ago. He took his community concerns along with his extensive public policy background and was elected to the City Council of Highland Park in 2011. Paul is a fiscal conservative that like me will push for consolidation and efficiencies in government. He supports open transparency initiatives like our recent moves to televise the Finance Committee meetings.
I am encouraged that the work I have done on the Lake County Board will be picked up by Member Paul Frank and carried on to an outcome that is citizen friendly and will provide real positive change.
Paul can be reached at paulfranklakecounty@gmail.com or call at 312.343.9840. After his Dec. 5th swearing in he will get an official County email and take over these newsletters to you.

I want to thank all of you for the confidence you had in me to elect me to a term on the Lake County Board and 5 terms on the City Council of Highland Park. I also wish to thank Dan Pierce for appointing me as a Highland Park Plan Commissioner prior to my run for the City Council. Over all those years I have worked with great leaders locally and throughout Lake County. I have enjoyed my 25 years of public service immensely and am grateful to have shared our robust Highland Park culture and strong core values demonstrating the importance of our environment, history and caring for our fellow citizens. I always took the oath of office to protect and serve with the highest commitment to our nation, state, and local laws. As a civilian I am still committed to speaking in the community arena and working with my fellow citizens for the best outcomes.
Being a resident of Highland Park for now over 60 years and residing along the shorelines of the great Lake Michigan I am reminded how blessed I have been to have grown up here, raise my children and now enjoy the reward of a senior prospective. I wish everybody well and leave you with my personal contact information if you wish to contact me, discuss local issues, or meet for coffee. Thank you for the memories and rewards.
Sincerely Yours,
Steven Warren Mandel
