Moraine Township just sent Blue Assessment Letter

All properties assessments in Moraine Township went up 7% because of the state multiplier. As a matter of fact, most of Lake County assessments have risen a similar multiplier over the past two years. The good news is that this one factor should not raise our property taxes because all properties rose at the same rate. My County Board District 11 is all in Moraine Township, but for those who live in West Deerfield the multiplier rose last year a similar amount.

The Online Appeal Filing System allows you to file appeals online Watch this video for step-by-step assistance to file an appeal online. Learn more about the process to file an appeal including reasons to appeal and the hearing process.

  • If you have questions or concerns regarding the assessed value of your property, discuss this with our Moraine township assessor at 847.432.2100.
  • Visit a Lake County Tax Assessment Help Center or the Chief County Assessment Office for one-on-one assistance to understand your assessment and/or file an appeal.
