Grayslake, IL – Metra has informed
the Lake County Division of Transportation it will be closing Alleghany Road to
through traffic from Peterson Road to Illinois Route 120. The road closure is
necessary for Metra to repair the existing railroad crossing. The road closure
will begin Friday, August 5 at 9 A.M and will reopen Sunday, August 7 in the
late afternoon.
Local
traffic will be allowed from Peterson Road to the Metra Railroad Crossing and
from Illinois Route 120 to the Metra Railroad Crossing. The railroad crossing
will be closed to all traffic.

Route: Peterson
Road, to Illinois Route 83, to Illinois Route 137, to Illinois Route 120.
