Lake County Council
Annual Membership Breakfast
(Lake County, IL May 11, 2016) Lake County Board Chairman
Aaron Lawlor and the Lake County Council of the Navy League of the United
States (LCC-NLUS) will hold a membership breakfast on Saturday, May 21,
2016. The breakfast and program are free
to members and non-members and will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Buckley’s at Willow
Glen Golf Course, 2821 Great Lakes Drive, Great Lakes, Illinois (Intersection
of Great Lakes Drive and Route 137).
The public is welcome and
encouraged to attend this meeting to learn more about the Lake County Council-NLUS
and its efforts. The Guest Speaker is
Captain Robert G. Buckley, Commanding Officer and Deputy Director, Captain
James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center.

“The
Navy League provides funding for projects that benefit the Sailors at the Great
Lakes Naval Station,” said Aaron Lawlor, meeting Chairperson and Lake County
Board Chair. “I encourage everyone
interested in the sea services to attend.”
In addition we support the Sea Cadet Program and Naval Junior Reserve
Officer Training Corps at two local high schools. We also support the Sailor of the Quarter
and Sailor of the Year Programs and also present the Navy League Award at the
weekly graduations at Recruit Training Command.
