Voter Participation Center (VPC) Mailing to all Illinois Citizens not Currently Registered to Vote

Waukegan, IL – The Illinois State Board of Elections recently advised all Illinois election authorities, including Lake County Clerk Carla N. Wyckoff, of a recent state-wide mailing by the Voter Participation Center (VPC) to all non-registered citizens. Making it fast and convenient for individuals to register, the mailing included a letter, voter registration application, and pre-addressed return envelope for the appropriate county clerk. The Voter Participation Center is planning a second mailing during the summer. Since these notices are not originating from the Lake County Clerk’s office where voter registration records are kept, there is a possibility that some letters may be received in error by those who are already registered to vote, moved, or have passed away.

“Any Lake County resident who needs to be registered may send the completed VPC voter registration form to our office for proper processing,” said Wyckoff. She continued, “I have been advised by the State Board of Elections that this is a legitimate company operating as a non-government, nonprofit, and nonpartisan 501 (c)(3) organization.”

If the public or media has any questions about this mailing, you are asked by the VPC to please contact them at their office at 27 N. Wacker Dr. #710, Chicago, IL 60606, or phone them at 877.255.6750. The VPC indicates that if anyone wants to be removed from their mailing lists to contact them at info@thevoterparticipationcenter.org or calling 202.659.9570.
