 Early voting is available
today until 7 p.m. at four locations in Lake County. Residents can use any of
the early voting sites regardless of where they live in Lake County. The
locations are:
- Gurnee
Village Hall, 325 N. O'Plaine Road, Gurnee
- Lake County
Courthouse and Administrative Complex, 18 N. County St., Waukegan
- Jane Addams
Center, Bowen Park, 95 Jack Benny Drive, Waukegan
- North
Chicago City Hall, 1850 Lewis Ave., North Chicago
Polls will be open on Election Day, March 15 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can vote and register at your assigned

Get the results Lake
County Election Day tallies will be posted under “Election Results” at LakeCountyClerk.info after the polls close at 7 p.m. March 15. Since early and
voting by mail ballots cannot be tabulated until after the polls close, those
tallies are added only after all Election Day precincts have reported.

The electronics recycling program offered by the
Solid Waste Agency of Lake County will be discontinued due to a lack of funds
as of May 1. Residents may use the five sites in Waukegan, Highland Park,
Grayslake, Grant Township and Cuba Township until May 1. Watch this

The Village of Gurnee has partnered with the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County to begin a year-round Reuse-A-Shoe collection. The Reuse-A-Shoe program collects unwanted shoes for reuse and recycling. There are two locations: village hall, 325 N. O'Plaine Road and outside Fire Station 2, 6851 Dada Drive. Please keep shoes in pairs by tying them together, rubber banding or bagging together. brings warmer weather and so many activities to experience in Lake County. From
maple syrup hikes in the forest preserves to several events across the county,
there is so much to enjoy. Take

Take an online quiz to see how much you know
about weather alert radios, and get a chance to win one. The Weather Alert Radios
Save Lives contest is available on the Ready Illinois’ website and will run through March
31. A total of 100 weather alert radios will be awarded to participants who
register after reading information about the radios and complete a
five-question quiz. Take the

resilient communities, providing public safety to residents and more. Learn

Learning if you are at risk to develop diabetes can be key to preventing
health problems such as heart disease, stroke and Type 2 diabetes. In
recognition of American Diabetes Alert Day on March 22, the Lake County Health
Department invites you to watch this
month’s Healthy Lake County and learn about a free prediabetes
screening test you can take to learn your risks. |

Submit application to join Gurnee's parkway tree cost sharing program The Village of Gurnee offers a Parkway Tree Cost Sharing Program, which allows residents to choose your type of tree and moves you up the schedule for tree replacement. The deadline to submit applications is April 1. More information

Join Gurnee Park District's egg hunt The Gurnee Park District will hold its Easter egg hunt, open to ages 2 to 10 starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19 at Viking Park. More information
Catch fun events at Warren-Newport Public Library The Warren-Newport Public Library will host a Thursday at the movies event at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 17. No registration is required.
Come out to the library at 7 p.m. March 22 to see a dramatic presentation by Betsey Means. She will perform a speech that Mother Jones gave in 1903 as she started her walk from Philadelphia to Long Island to stand up for mill children. This program is for adults and children in fifth grade and older. Registration is needed.
Bring the family out to "Beautiful Bats and More" from 2 to 3 p.m. March 26. The Flying Fox Conservation Fund will bring their collection of fruit bats for an informative program about the vital contribution bats make to the ecosystem. Registration is needed. For information, call 847-244-5150.
