Construction Update:
Crews have finished the mainline concrete paving for the future westbound lanes. Traffic has been switched to the new pavement to allow for the construction of the future eastbound lanes. The old pavement on Peterson Road is being removed, and this will be followed by new storm sewer installations and grading for the new lanes. On Alleghany Road, reconstruction and widening of the shoulders is now in progress. More information and additional pictures are available on the project website.
This project is approximately 50% complete.
Traffic Impacts:
All traffic is driving on the new pavement on Peterson Road and Alleghany Road. Expect daily lane closures on Alleghany Road between Peterson Road and IL Rte 120 for shoulder work.
Please use caution when driving through the construction zone. Watch for trucks and equipment entering and leaving the job site.
