Lake Villa, IL-The Lake County Division
of Transportation will be closing Petite Lake Road, Lake County Route A-12, to
through traffic from Fairfield Road, Lake County Route V-61, to Illinois Route
59. The road closure and detour will begin at 6 a.m. Monday, June 15 and is
scheduled to reopen to traffic by mid-August.
The closure of Petite Lake Road is
necessary to reconstruct and widen Petite Lake Road west of Fairfield Road to
Illinois Route 59 and will connect the Petite Lake Road realignment project
that was completed in 2012. Additional work will include curb replacement,
storm sewer work and installation of a new bike path along Petite Lake Road.
Detour Route: Fairfield Road, Lake County Route V-61, to Illinois Route
132/Grand Avenue, to Illinois Route 59. Local traffic will have access on
Petite Lake Road.
