"Your Actions Matter" Volunteers Needed April 23

On Thurs., April 23, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., volunteers 13 years of age and older are needed to collaborate with the Evanston Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition and the Evanston Police and Community Partnership on an Illinois Liquor Control Commission effort called "Your Actions Matter." The commission aims to help keep alcohol out of the hands of those under legal drinking age. 

Register Today for "Clean up, Evanston!" April 25

On Sat., April 25, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., community members are invited to participate in the City's “Clean up, Evanston!" event in honor of Earth Day and Arbor Day. Groups and individuals of all ages can sign up to volunteer at any one of the 10 designated clean-up sites across the city.

Volunteer at Share Fair Evanston 2015

On Sat., April 25, volunteers age 15 years and older are needed to help register teachers, welcome families and work with exhibitors at Share Fair Evanston 2015, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Roycemore School. The free two-part event aims to bring together educators, students, communities and leaders in education innovation to experience creative methods to transform education.

The Volunteer Center of Northeast Metro Chicago is looking for individuals that are interested in helping others to join its Board of Directors. Meetings are held monthly from September through June and all board members must join a committee to help in the organization's efforts to serve the community.
