Assistant Director of Public Works Jim Maiworm attended last week's 2nd Ward meeting to review the City's snow clearing procedures in the wake of this month's major snow event, when more than 20 inches of snow fell in Evanston. Thank you again to all community members who shoveled sidewalks, dug out fire hydrants, and helped neighbors clear snow, and to our great Public Works staff that worked tirelessly to keep City streets safe. City crews were greatly assisted by residents' widespread cooperation with the declared Snow Route Parking Ban and Snow Emergency. As the winter season continues, please review snow parking regulations and the many courtesy notification methods offered by the City. More >>>
