EVANSTON, ILLINOIS - Enjoy a free cup of coffee while chatting with Officer Loyce
Spells and new 6th Ward Community Policing Officer Dan Kooi from the Evanston Police Department (EPD) on Tuesday, January 20 from 8
a.m. to 10 a.m. at Starbucks, 2114 Central St., located in the city's 6th Ward.
“Coffee with a Cop” builds upon the Evanston Police
Department’s community policing efforts and provides an opportunity for 6th ward residents, business owners, and
other interested community members to chat with officers and ask questions, share concerns or simply talk
about sports over a “cup-o-joe” in a casual, friendly environment.
Multiple events will continue to take place throughout the city
at various times to accommodate all those interested in speaking with an
officer in a more familiar setting. Dates and locations for upcoming
“Coffee with a Cop” events will be confirmed in the coming months.
This event is sponsored by the City of Evanston and the EPD’s Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association.
