New Evanston "Green" Nonprofit is Looking for Volunteers!

Flower Arranging

Random Acts of Flowers (RAF) officially opens its doors in Evanston at 2000 Greenleaf St. on Tues., Jan. 27! The "green" nonprofit organization recycles and re-purposes flowers by engaging dedicated volunteer teams to deliver beautiful bouquets and moments of kindness to individuals in local healthcare facilities. 

Want to get involved? RAF is looking for volunteers to deliver bouquets, pick up flowers from donation sites, sort and organize flowers and more!

Become a Tutor for District 65's New Program "Math is FUNdamental"

From February to May 2015, District 65 is looking for volunteers to coach a group of students as they play math games to practice their math facts, providing reinforcements of math strategies in the district's curriculum. Volunteers must be available during school hours, between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., based on teachers' and tutors' schedules.

Volunteers Needed as Ushers 2/1

On Sun., Feb. 1, five volunteers are needed from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. to usher the Evanston Symphony Orchestra concert at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall. Ushers are required to wear business casual attire and be prepared to advise patrons on seating locations.
